The sun is shining again in Stowe today. If you’re sitting inside an office dreaming about riding, we’ve got some exciting news regarding upcoming events! First of all our weekly group rides are well under way, so make sure you mark your calender! We offer group rides ever Friday evening at 6pm. We’ll either ride from the shop or carpool to a nearby location. If the weather’s nice we often follow up the rides with grilling and icy beverages back at the shop. Check our facebook page for more updates regarding each weekly ride.
In addition to our weekly group rides we’re also excited to announce we’ll be offering a series of free demo days this summer with our favorite mountain bike brands., and the first two are right around the corner! First off we’ll be getting a visit from the Intense Cycles Demo Tour on Wednesday May 29. The guys from Intense are busy traveling all over the country with their demo truck, so naturally we are honored that they’re taking the time to stop in VT.
The demo will run officially from 10am-5pm. After that the Intense crew will be packing up the truck and collecting any bikes. Around 6pm when Skiershop/Bike Stowe closes up shop for the day we’ll all head out on the trails for a fun group ride with everyone! Anyone who attends the demo is more than welcome to join, and if you can’t make it between 10 and 5, but can for the group ride, there’s a good chance you could bribe Intense to let you try a bike. After the ride we’ll be celebrating the day with the appropriate grilled meats and refreshments.
The Saturday (June 1) following the Intense Demo we’ll be holding yet another demo day with Rocky Mountain and Scott! We couldn’t think of a better way to narrow down the perfect bike than being able to try so many of the latest and greatest all within a week! The day will be run relatively the same as the Intense Demo Day, but since it will be Saturday not Wednesday, expect bigger crowds! If there’s a specific bike you’ve been dying to try make sure you arrive plenty early in the day to reserve it. Last time Rocky Mountain brought us demo bikes almost every bike was in use 100% of the time!
